Welder Fabricator

Job Summary

As the welder/fabricator for the company you will be mainly workshop based, however you will also supply mobile support to the fleet and have the use of a fully equipped fabricators van fitted with everything you could need to fabricate and repair plant equipment out on site as well as operating in your own fully equipped workshop at the main yard which contains everything from guillotines, steel press, and lathes through to mechanical punches and Plasma Cutters and much more besides.

Responsibilities and Duties

The main roles and responsibilities will be to help maintain and repair the large fleet of plant machinery as well as working on quarry equipment and commercial bespoke projects, the job is extremely varied and will suit someone who can work both in a team and under their own initiative, thinking outside the box to create solutions is always a benefit when working out in the field.

Qualifications and Skills

We would anticipate that the relevant candidate will have relevant engineering qualifications however, knowledge and experience are key and therefore although paper qualifications are useful they are not essential for this role, although if you are a “coded” welder this could be an advantage.
